Flow‐assisted visual tracking using event cameras

چکیده

The data from event cameras not only portray contours of moving objects but also contain motion information inherently. Herein, can be used in event-based and frame-based object trackers to ease the challenges occluded association, respectively. In tracker, events within a short interval are accumulated. Within interval, histogram local time measurements (or ‘motion histogram’) is proposed as feature describe target candidate regions. Then mean-shift tracking approach by shifting tracker towards similarity maximisation on histograms between As for given assumption that single moves at constant velocity image plane, distribution timestamps modelled, followed which object-level velocities obtained parameter estimation. We then build Kalman-based ensemble, deemed an additional measurement top detection results. Experiments have been conducted measure performance based our self-collected data. Thanks assistance information, successfully differentiates partially overlapped with distinct profiles; inter-frame avoids association failure fast-moving leads fast convergence

Particle Filter for Visual Tracking Using Multiple Cameras

This article proposes an approach for visual track ing using multiple cameras with overlapping fields of view. A spatial and temporal recursive Bayesian filtering approach using particle filter is proposed to fuse image sequences of multiple cameras to optimally estimate the state of the system, i.e., the target’s location. An approximation method for importance sampling function and weight upd...

Towards Visual SLAM with Event-based Cameras

Event-based cameras (Figure 1) offer much potential to the fields of robotics and computer vision, in part due to their large dynamic range and extremely high “frame rates”. These attributes make them, at least in theory, particularly suitable for enabling tasks like navigation and mapping on high speed agile robotic platforms under challenging lighting conditions, a task which has been particu...

Visual Tracking using Kernel Projected Measurement and Log-Polar Transformation

Visual Servoing is generally contained of control and feature tracking. Study of previous methods shows that no attempt has been made to optimize these two parts together. In kernel based visual servoing method, the main objective is to combine and optimize these two parts together and to make an entire control loop. This main target is accomplished by using Lyapanov theory. A Lyapanov candidat...

Continuous-Time Visual-Inertial Trajectory Estimation with Event Cameras

In contrast to traditional cameras, which output images at a fixed rate, event cameras have independent pixels that output asynchronous pixel-level brightness changes with microsecond resolution. In this paper, we leverage a continuoustime framework to perform trajectory estimation by fusing visual data from a moving event camera with inertial data from an IMU. This framework allows direct inte...

Tracking of Animals Using Airborne Cameras

The various elements of a modern target tracking framework are covered. Background theory on pre-processing, modelling and estimation is presented as well as some novel ideas on the topic by the author. In addition, a few applications are posed as target tracking problems for which solutions are gradually constructed as relevant theory is covered. Among considered problems are how to constrain ...
